    Origin of today’s ProAgro Group

    Beginning of the raw material activities through Prochema GmbH. The company was founded in November 1981 by M. Rukover and laid the foundation for today’s ProAgro Group.

    Structuring of business units

    The raw material activities were structured into the ICPO and AGRO business units. This created the basis for a stronger specialization of the individual business areas.

  3. 03 / 1993
    Expansion of international activities

    Business activities were increasingly expanded into Eastern European markets. During this phase, important customer and supplier relationships were established, further shaping the international raw material business.

  4. 05 / 1998
    Expansion of sales and application expertise

    The sales activities were strengthened with application technology expertise. This enabled more targeted support for industrial customers in raw material selection, product application and technical questions.

  5. 03 / 2005
    Introduction of ISO 9001 quality management

    The implementation of a quality management system according to ISO 9001 marked an important step towards structured quality assurance, process reliability and dependable raw material supply.

  6. 10 / 2009
    Focus on Food, Feed and Pharma

    The AGRO business unit was clearly focused on raw materials for the Food, Feed and Pharma sectors. This created the professional basis for ProAgro’s current positioning.

  7. 06 / 2018
    Foundation of ProAgro GmbH

    The AGRO business unit was transferred into the independent ProAgro GmbH. With Lukas Rukover joining the management, the next generation became part of the company’s development.

  8. 07 / 2025
    Strengthening market presence in Germany

    With Hajnal Rohstoffe, ProAgro strengthened its presence in the German market and further expanded its raw material portfolio for industrial customers.
